Dr. John E Beck, Pastor
Dr. Beck was born in Birmingham, Alabama in October of 1960. He was saved by the grace of Jesus Christ as a child. He answered God's call to professional ministry in 1980.
John received the Bachelor of Arts Degree from Samford University in 1984. He earned a Master of Divinty Degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 1988. He completed work for the Doctor of Ministry Degree from Southern Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky in 2000.
John has served as Pastor of First Baptist Church for more than ten years, coming to Childersburg in August of 1994. Prior to First Baptist Church, John served as Pastor of the Forest Hills Baptist Church, as Associate Pastor at the Eighty-Fifth Street Baptist Church, and as Minister of Music and Youth at Sandusky Methodist Church. John has twenty six years of professional ministry.
John is married to the former Sue Smith from Forestdale. They have been married since 1984 and they are the proud parents to two children: Joel Edward was born in July of 1986, and Laura Elsie was born in January of 1990.

Ron Partain, Minister of Music
Ron Partain was born in Birmingham, AL in November of 1944. At the age of eleven, while living in Lexington, KY, he made his profession of faith at the Rosemont Baptist Church. He accepted the call to professional ministry at a Youth Rally in Birmingham at the age of fourteen.
Ron majored in Music at Samford University in Birmingham.

Ron is married to the former Sandra Lee from Ashland, AL. They were married in 1966, and are the pround parents of two children, Lorrie Susan Blackwell and Amy Leigh Dummier. Both Girls are married and have gifted their parents with seven of the world's most brilliant grandchildren.
Ron claims Hebrews 11:1 as his life verse... "What is faith? It is teh confident assurance that we hope for is going to happen. It is the evidence of things we cannot yet see."
Delores Meeks, Secretary Delores has been working at First Baptist for twenty-six years. She is married to B.J. Meeks and has two wonderful daughters, Michele and Wendy, as well as a granddaughter, Bailey. Delores was born in Childersburg and has been a member of First Baptist since she was seventeen years old. Delores works as secretary of the church and is called "mother" by the staff for her wonderful wisdom and great 'mother like' personality. Delores handles anything from Sunday moring bulletins, to mail outs, and even trying to keep the staff in line.
Michele McGaha, Financial Secretary Michele has been employed for five years as Financial Secretary for First Baptist Church. Her duties also include Church Clerk, Discipleship Team, and VBS Director. Michele was born in Chicago, Illinois, but has lived in Childersburg since she was four years old. She is the wife of James McGaha and is the mother of two boys, Blake and Madison Williams. Michele Has been a member of First Baptist since 1998. Her first Year as a member, Michele became VBS director and has been helping in ministry every since. Michele oversees the Church's Financial operations and works to make sure the church is financially stable and able to perform efficiently. Michele is an important asset to FBC Ministry.
